INSTRUCTOR BIO

I’m Leah! I am a mom, yogi, nurse, and nature loving soul. I have been an ICU nurse since 2013, currently working at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA. I have been practicing yoga for over a decade and completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2022. As a new mom, I feel empowered by my pregnancy and post birth journey. I pursued my 85 hour Prenatal/Postnatal training in 2023, to continue to share the yoga experience and related education with birthing persons and parents. I am passionate about learning, growing, caring, and teaching others.

I had dreamed of doing a YTT for many years. And especially since the pandemic, I am increasingly drawn to expanding my practice and feel a pull to extend this to others. As an ICU nurse throughout this time, I have seen, felt, and heard myself and countless healthcare workers struggle. Regardless of our career or situation since 2020, each of us has given and given up so much of ourselves and our lives. Despite the difficulties we collectively experience, yoga has been a light. Yoga changed my life, my experience, and my mentality. I want to share what has moved me.

My vision for this community and yoga experience is an inclusive space for healing and health. I teach a practice for the mind, body, and spirit using movement, breath, and meditation.

Outside of nursing and yoga, I am an outdoor adventurer: I love hiking, backpacking, biking, and skiing. If I am not in the mountains, I am likely doing something creative: gardening, growing plants, watercoloring, or woodworking.

I love immersion in nature and finding beauty in small things. I initially majored in Art History and I find holistic wellness to be a symbiosis of my art and science passions.

“Leah is a calm presence and a supportive instructor whose compassion extends into her practice.”

Join my journey of blending yoga, wellness and nature!
